"The two-way player who can give opposing players fits. He can play in all situations and supports the play well in all three zones. He is a low center-of-gravity skater with good balance but won’t wow you with speed. He has quick, but choppy hands when handling the puck through open ice. He scored Cedar Rapids’ 2nd goal of the game when he picked off a pass up the middle in the offensive zone and then buried it beating the goalie low blocker side." USHL Game Report, December, 2021

"Black is a gifted athlete with a lot of tools. He has a long, smooth stride which allows him to carry the puck effectively and buy time for his poise, vision and hockey sense to create scoring chances. He caught a pass here and in one motion received the puck and fired it instantly which is rare at this level. What stands out is his hockey sense; he really knows where everyone is on the ice and utilizes his teammates to their full potential. He has the dual ability to create both off the rush and in-zone as he was able to pull off defenders in the corners and behind the net and go to the scoring areas either with a pass or skating himself." ~ +11 Playoff Rating, Best among USHL defensemen, Tied 1st overall
Neutral Zone Scouting Report
"Babbage is a tall, mobile, athletic defenseman who maintains tight gaps and keeps opponents to the outside. He’s gotten stronger this past season and is quick back on retrievals and able to survey the ice and move the puck quickly and efficiently. He works the puck well along the blue line, he can create space and get low shots through and has deceptively soft hands to make subtle plays when pressured. The assistant captain needs to improve his net front defense and be tougher to play against instead of relying on his feet and his stick, but he’s a talented, multi-purpose defender who should be an immediate impact player at Quinnipiac next season." Neutral Zone Scouting Report
"Offensive defenseman who LOVES to shoot the puck! Responsible in his defensive zone as he owns an active stick. Stays low to the ice and breaks up plays by reading the play and using his poke-check. Has his head up in all three zones surveying the ice for his teammates, but also surveys the ice without the puck. In the offensive zone can step into slot areas and hammer one-timers. Has a quick release and his shot has tenacity as well. When his shot gets on the net, it typically causes trouble – either leading to rebounds or beating the goaltender clean. Lots of upsides to his game." NAHL Team Report, June, 2021

Neutral Zone Scouting Report
"LeClerc is a smaller, athletic center that makes plays with his feet and senses. Cy was dominant on the faceoff circle and was able to win them in a variety of ways whether it be a quick pull, using his body or tapping a puck through the opposing centers legs. He accelerates quickly and attacks the play up ice with a lot of pace. He has a quick burst to get going and wins a lot of puck races. LeClerc is tough to get a body on as he is a smaller forward with quickness and can bounce out of traffic and slip through defenders while maintaining the puck. He showed patience with the puck and is able to see to the second layer of the offense and wait until it opens up to move it. Once he dishes the puck, he will jump to become an option to get it back." Game Report, October, 2021

NeutralZone Star Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
2021-22 Outstanding Accomplishments:
~ 2021 NHL Draft: Selected in 3rd Round (#88 Overall) by Buffalo Sabres
Neutral Zone Scouting Report
"Sardarian is an intriguing prospect who we had ranked late on our draft board but he’s the type of player who could go much higher given his size, athleticism and puck skill. He hasn’t even begun to grow into his frame yet at 6’1” 155lbs yet he still has straight line speed, he can get in on the forecheck and pressure defenders and has a long reach to break up passes and disrupt. He has a clever stick along the boards, he’s skilled off the cycle and can create offense both off the rush and in zone. He plays high on the power play, able to feed passes into the slot and to the backdoor and also work the give and go with his points or the low man and has a powerful one-timer he can score from the top circles. He handles the puck well with his head up looking to make a play and he has the dual ability to protect pucks and burrell his way to the net or make a slick move 1v1 and get around defenders. Talented prospect who has long term potential and just scratching the surface; he was drafted in the second round of the USHL Entry Draft with the plan to play University hockey in the states." Neutral Zone Scouting Report
"Skrastins is a highly skilled, offensive talent that was dominant with puck possession though he was not able to find the scoresheet. He had a game high 8 shots on target and 17 attempts at the net. Kristaps was consistently dangerous with the puck on his stick with his quick strike and ability to attack defenseman. He could beat you in a variety of ways with pace or his smooth, quick hands, pull up and shoot or find a linemate through traffic. At both ends of the ice, he plays a cerebral style and kills penalties as well as runs the powerplay. There is zero panic under pressure, and he can make things happen from nothing. He can generate chances on his own as he is creative to see through different options. Even without finding the back of the net, he played a confident game and was a threat every shift." "Good size, consistent, two-way forward. He is responsible at both ends of the ice and doesn’t cheat for offense. He maintains good position defensively and makes good reads to intercept passes or break-up plays. He is excellent with puck protection and cycling in the offensive zone. He used his body and strong hands to protect the puck and cycle down low. He QBed the PP.
