Co-Player of the Week - Shane Eiserman
Over his last four games, 2014 UNH recruit Shane Eiserman has scored 2 goals and 3 assists for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL. In a 5-2 victory over the Green Bay Gamblers last Saturday night, Eiserman scored the game-winning goal, added 2 assists, and was named the #1 Star of the Game. So far this season, the 6'2", 200 lbs. power forward has posted 18 points in 23 games and has a +/- rating of +11.Shane Eiserman is eligible for the 2014 NHL Draft this coming June in Philadelphia. The NHL Central Scouting Services just released its 2014 Midterm Rankings and Eiserman is ranked #39 among North American skaters. In November, Central Scouting listed Eiserman as a "B" prospect which means he is a possible 2nd or 3rd round draft pick.
Co-Player of the Week - Warren Foegele
As I wrote in the last "UNH Recruits Update", 2015 UNH recruit Warren Foegele had an outstanding month of December for St. Andrew's College, a university prep school in Aurora, Ontario. Well, he hasn't taken his foot off the accelerator. The Saints returned to action in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association last week with games against their rivals the Nichols School and Ridley College. The 6'1", 182 lbs., Foegele (Pronounced Foe-gull) scored 2 goals in each game including both game-winners.Warren Foegele can now add a relatively unique accomplishment to his resume. His name had not appeared on any of the prior prospect lists put out by the NHL Central Scouting Service. With the publication of the CSS 2014 Midterm Rankings today, that has changed. Foegele has rocketed all the way up to #62 among North American Skaters. The Midterm Rankings include what the NHL CSS scouts consider to be the top 210 NHL prospects (forwards and defensemen) in North America.
NOTE
The statistics for the recruits, presented in the table, are categorized by the year the player and UNH coaches have targeted for enrollment in UNH. For example, the "2014 Recruits" have a target of the Fall of 2014 to begin playing for UNH.
