Reid Drafted to the Nashville Predators

Congratulations to Cam Reid on his selection to the Nashville Predators in the 2009 NHL Draft.

Cam was selected in the seventh round after a great year in the British Columbia Hockey League and in advance of his imminent arrival in Durham, NH to play for our Wildcats.

See the title-linked Official Site release but beware this glaring oversight:
This afternoon Reid became the 85th draftee in program history. He is just the second Wildcat to ever be selected by the Nashville Predators (Craig Switzer, 2004).
Can anyone tell me the other Wildcat Alum drafted by Nashville?

Congrats Cam! Now the real work starts!

Go 'Cats!

Nice try!

But no goal.

Mowers was undrafted though he was initially signed and played for the Predators.

Any other guesses?

Never did get an answer here...

It was Darren Haydar ('02)!

The unforgettable Wildcat Captain and third all-time leading scorer in Wildcat history. 158 games, 102 goals, 117 assists for 219 points over his four years.

He was drafted 248th overall by Nashville Predators in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft and continues to lead an extraordinarily successful professional career primarily in the American Hockey League where he owns numerous All-Time AHL records.

Go 'Cats!
