WJC Exhibition: USA 5 - Russia 1

In their second exhibition game the USA Under-20 World Junior Team delivered a triumphant performance handing their Russian counterparts a five-to-one loss.

While the big story of the game was Michigan's Aaron Palushaj, who scored a natural hat-trick (the US's first three goals), UNH's own James van Riemsdyk added the fourth goal and assisted on the fifth giving him three goals and two assist through the two game exhibition round.

The action heats up on Friday when Team USA takes on Germany in their first match of round-robin play live on the NHL Network at 3:30pm. Be sure to find your local listing.

And don't forget, it's never too early to plan a get together for this year's NHL Winter Classic on NBC. The puck drops New Year's Day at 1 o'clock pm eastern time with a good chance that we will see former Wildcat Ty Conklin in net.

Go USA!
