van Riemsdyk, Kessel Named to World Junior Team

It's that time of year again - the International Ice Hockey Federation's World Under-20 Championship is just three weeks away and for the third time, James van Riemsdyk was named to the US World Junior team for the upcoming contest taking place in Ottawa, Ontario this year.

Also named to the team from the University of New Hampshire is freshman blueliner standout, Blake Kessel. Who will suit up for the first time in the Red, White and Blue.

The tournament will take place from December 26th through January 5th, 2009! But exhibition games will be held on the 21st and 23rd.

The duo will likely miss just one game - the lone game of the season in Orono versus the University of Maine Black Bears on January 4th.

See the title-linked USA Hockey release and informational page.

Congratulations guys!

Go USA!
