Hardowa Chooses New Hampshire

The University of New Hampshire Men's Hockey Team extends its roots a bit further into the Canadian Junior leagues getting a commitment from big and rugged defenseman Connor Hardowa.

The 6'1", 200lbs Hardowa completed his 2007-08 season with AJHL's Spruce Grove Saints accruing 11 goals and 31 assists in 60 games. The Edmonton, Alberta native is, in his own words (from The Unofficial UNH Hockey Homepage Recruiting Page)

"a defense-first guy,”

who was whistled for just 35 penalty minutes during the last AJHL (Alberta Junior Hockey League) season.

He will return to the Saints for his third and final season before matriculating in the fall of 2009.

As to the future of his game Connor goes on to say,

“I like to worry about my own end first and kind of see what happens in the offensive zone. But I’m starting to get more confidence offensively, and I’m trying to become a more all-around player.”

Other accolades bestowed upon Hardowa this season were the position of Assistant Captain and he was also selected to participate in this past season's AJHL All-Star Game.

Welcome Connor!

Keep up the great work!
