Simply The Best

In case you missed Hockey East Online's weekly release with Jerry Pollastrone as their Co-Player of the Week for his 5 goals in two games and this UNH summary:

New Hampshire: UNH advances to his league-best seventh-straight Hockey East semifinals by virtue of a weekend sweep of Massachusetts… Overall, the Wildcats have won 11-of-12 quarterfinal series including 10 by virtue of a sweep…Kevin Regan closed out his career a perfect 6-0-0 in the HE quarterfinals with an impressive 0.66 GAA, a .981 save percentage and 206 saves…In a rout 7-2 win over Mass., Jerry Pollastrone and Matt Fornataro each netted their first career hat trick…The seven goal output matches the most by a Wildcat team in 2007-08 when the ‘Cats scored seven in a 7-4 win over Northeastern…The seven goals in a Hockey East tournament game were the most since UNH earned back to back 8-4 wins over Mass-Lowell in the 2002-03 quarterfinals…For the second-straight season, the Wildcats have won 25 games. Last year’s team closed out the season with 26 wins. Overall, UNH has eight 25-plus wins season and seven of those came under Coach Umile’s tenure…UNH and Boston College have met in the Hockey East semifinals and the Eagles holding a 2-1 advantage including a 2-1 win in the last meeting in 2000. UNH’s semifinal win came in a 4-0 win in 1997.
