What Gives?
The article is hardly filled with any new, exciting or salient information regarding the upcoming season such a quotes from the coaching staff or players but it does intrigue me that they have failed to mention Paul Thompson in similar fashion to Al Pike also failing to mention him, who even gave Paul's EJHL Player of the Year Honors to Mike Sislo. Now I have no insight or information concerning the situation but I can only surmise that he will red-shirt the year and thus has been left out of the discussion for the upcoming season.
*Edit* I've just read the article more carefully and while they do not discuss Paul, they have mistakenly, I believe, mentioned Matt Campanale as a member of the seven incoming forwards except that they only discuss his record under the defensive analysis. So it is possible there was a mix up on the journalistic front that is yet to be corrected. In any case...
We shall see. Regardless the article is filled with numerous minutia of stats concerning our 'Cats and a brief rundown of the schedule, according to which, we find ourselves just three days from the 2007-2008 exhibition puck-drop (it has been brought to my attention that the Whittemore Center box office is reporting the game as occurring on Saturday - the schedule indicates that the game is indeed this Friday, October 12 at 7:00pm). Hope to see you there!
*A Further Note* I've spoken with the box office and it appears that there will be tickets available as usual beginning 10:00am tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct 9th) for the exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 12th!
Go 'Cats!
