UNH/CC Future Connection
More specifically the Beach City Lightning Youth Hockey program. Both of our teams are to become home to former Lightning players as evidenced by this nice Alumni Tribute page on the title-linked (just click on the title of this post) Beach City website.
The Tigers have a verbal commitment from Dakota Eveland for 2010 and our own Future 'Cat, Matt White, 2009, both came up through the Beach City Lightning Youth Hockey Program. The two have joined forces this year on an Omaha Lancers team that is undefeated in five games in the USHL.
Speaking of Matt, I have uncovered a simply beautiful story about Matt put together by Inside College Hockey (INCH). It is so nice getting to know you a little better, Matt - you seem to be a tremendous young man. Keep up the great work you have put into your life to get this far and I'm sure it will carry you much further.
So, tomorrow, destinies collide. By season's end these two games are bound to have implications for the National Tournament for both clubs. UNH Athletic Director, Marty Scarano, who came to Durham from Colorado Springs' very own Colorado College - I'm sure there's some bragging rights there somewhere. Upholding our end of the bargain with the University of Denver Pioneers' fans to sweep their arch-rivals as they did ours. And the story of two young men whose future teams will battle in two games starting this Friday night - and probably some friendly bragging rights between these two as well.

Kevin McCarey also given a very favorable review here. Way to go Kevin!
Yes he was - I actually posted a link to it shortly after Kevin chose UNH.
Go 'Cats!
Further Note - At the time I did not see the story on Matt which I found due to the Beach City Lightning Website.
Go 'Cats! :)
