INCH by INCH
The season nears inch by inch and I return with another INCH preseason prognostication - their 07-08 All-Americans (title-linked).
Most notable are the nominations of Kevin Regan to the Second Team and freshman, James vanRiemsdyk, to the Rookie Team.
But being a preseason prediction I think that they've missed a lot of nuance in the field and concerning our 'Cats. I wouldn't be surprised to see our top defenseman, Brad Flaishans, crack the All-American line-up nor fellow senior blueliner, Craig Switzer. Up front we have two very impressive seniors that could easily earn All-American honors in Mike Radja and Matt Fornataro.
We're less than 36 hours from the 2007-2008 Exhibition Game!
For those who have not checked it out, Imeem has begun the process of forming agreements with record labels and has now drastically improved its stock of full-length songs - which now allows both Two Step and Black Betty to be heard in their entirety!
Check it out!
*A little extra* Mike Ayers is in Sweden with the Leksand Idrottsforening Ishockey team and it appears our Chicago Blackhawks draft pick may be under the tutelage of the legendary Blawkhawks' goaltender Ed Belfour who stopped by his alma mater, the University of North Dakota, to practice with the Fighting Sioux before heading across the big pond to join the team. I'll have to work on my Swedish but I've linked Ayers' profile to his 'Cat's in the Pros' entry (look way down to the right - click on Leksand).
