New Recruit

Dan Dries will play for the University of New Hampshire in '07-'08!

Recently acquired by the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders from the Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets (both USHL teams) where he had just one goal, two assists in six games, Dan has excelled with his new team, scoring 12 goals in 21 games - good enough for 7th in goals on the team although with just half as many games as those around them. He has 4 goals and an assist in his last five games.

This 5'11", 170 lbs. forward out of Lake Orion, Michigan definitely seems to have a nose for the net lately though he has added only 2 more assists since coming to Cedar Rapids. Look for him to continue to find the back of the net as the season comes to a close and the playoffs begin. We now have at least one recruit on each of the top three teams in the USHL (Omaha, Waterloo and Cedar Rapids).

Fellow Future 'Cats:

Speaking of finding the back of the net, Phil DeSimone has equaled Trevor Smith's USHL high of 68 points in 60 games in just 55 games. DeSimone has 24 goals and 44 assists.

Mike Beck has an incredible 40 points with 7 goals and 33 assists in his 55 games alongside Phil and the rest of the Sioux City Musketeers.

All of our Future 'Cats are having a fantastic year but you will have to wait till I'm healthy for a full report as this is all I can manage right now.

Go 'Cats!
