Great Article About JVR
If the Wildcat Nation Loyal would really like to know more about James vanRiemsdyk you should read this excellent, title-linked article from NHL.com.
From what I've read, commitment is a top priority for James and he's said himself that he is excited to attend the University of New Hampshire. I think that we'll see him stay through a National Championship - as long as he doesn't feel like he's not being challenged - and possibly longer if their are still challenges for him here. While I haven't heard him speak to the importance of an education or degree, I see a young man who is intelligent enough to realize that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. So, should UNH be the good fit he believes it is, the university could, quite possibly, become his home for four years.
Recent reports put James at 3rd in the final NHL Central Scouting Report with fellow Future 'Cats Paul Thompson (#78) and Blake Kessel (#99) also looking to be well drafted. I will be curious to see where or if Phil DeSimone factors in the draft or if he'll be working for a NHL spot while here at UNH - which I'm sure he'll earn.
Well, Good Luck to all the Future 'Cats in this year's draft!
Go 'Cats!
